Sewing tips:

• Preparation: Pre-wash (significant shrinkage!) and dry flat
• Cutting: Use a rotary cutter instead of scissors
• Finishing edges: Neaten immediately after cutting with an overlock or zigzag stitch, or iron on seam tape for stabilisation straight away (possibly with a fixed paper pattern)
• Sewing: Use elastic stitches (zigzag/overlock). A dual feed foot prevents puckering.
• Reinforcement: Secure shoulder seams with shaping tape
• Tip: If the fabric pulls in at the start of the seam, place embroidery backing or baking paper underneath
